About Site Auto Glass Co.

Locally Owned. Mechanic-Family Built. Lehighton-Based.

Site Auto Glass Co. is a Lehighton-based mobile auto glass shop serving Carbon County and the surrounding Schuylkill County area. We're an independent shop — built by the Wentz family, run by Matt Wentz, and focused on one thing: doing auto glass right.

Our Story

A Family That's Been Under Carbon County's Cars Since 1976.

The Wentz family has been fixing cars in Lehighton for almost 50 years. Gary Wentz started Wentz Automotive in 1976 as an auto body and collision repair shop. Multiple generations and several locations later, the Wentz name still means honest mechanical work in Carbon County.

Site Auto Glass Co. is a separate operation. Matt Wentz started it as a focused, mobile-first auto glass shop to fill a gap most people in the area had run into: nobody local would come to your driveway, do windshield work right, and calibrate the ADAS systems in-house. The big chains route you through a call center and put you in a 5-hour appointment window. The small shops are great people, but most don't have the ADAS targets or scan-tool coverage. And nobody else is consistently mobile.

So we built one. A real shop for the work that needs a bay (static ADAS calibrations, complex installs). A pair of branded service vans that come to your driveway for everything else. And the same straightforward, no-upsell posture that's kept the family business going for almost five decades.

"We answer the phone. We show up when we said we would. We bring the right glass. That's it — that's the whole pitch."

We're a small operation by design. You'll talk to the same crew every time. We don't hide behind a glossy warranty card — we focus on doing the job right the first time, and when something's wrong, we're 10 minutes away, not 40.

How We Work

Six Things We Don't Cut Corners On.

01

The Right Glass

We verify your VIN, options, and ADAS package before we leave the shop. We do not show up with the wrong windshield and waste your day.

02

Real Arrival Times

Your time matters. We give you a tight arrival window and we hit it. If we're going to be late, the actual technician calls you.

03

OEM-Spec Adhesive

Safe-drive-away in 60 minutes, every install. We follow the urethane manufacturer's cure spec, not whatever's faster.

04

In-House ADAS

Static, dynamic, or both — we calibrate to OEM procedure right here. No shipping your car to the dealer for a separate appointment.

05

We Handle the Claim

In-network with major insurance carriers. You pay your deductible — we handle the claim, the billing, and the carrier paperwork from there.

06

Local Phone, Local Owner

When you call (570) 413-9662, you reach the person who'll do the work — not a call center 300 miles away.

Common Questions

A Little More About Us.

No — they're separate businesses. Wentz Automotive is the family's auto body and collision shop, founded by Gary Wentz in 1976. Site Auto Glass Co. is a separate, focused auto glass operation started by Matt Wentz. Same family, same standards, different shop.
Fully local and independent. We're based in Lehighton and we're not a franchise or a call-center brand. When you call (570) 413-9662, you reach the people who do the work.
Our shop is in Lehighton, and our vans cover all of Carbon County and northern Schuylkill County — Jim Thorpe, Palmerton, Tamaqua, Weissport, Nesquehoning, Summit Hill, Lansford, and the towns in between.
We don't advertise a formal written warranty. What we offer instead is doing the job correctly the first time — the right glass, OEM-spec adhesive, proper cure time — and being a real local shop you can reach directly if something doesn't seem right.
Because there was a gap in the area: nobody local would come to your driveway, do windshield work right, and calibrate the ADAS systems in-house. The chains route you through a call center; many small shops don't have the ADAS equipment. Site Auto Glass was built to be both mobile and properly equipped.
