About This Service

Vehicle Diagnostics, Done Properly.

Modern vehicles (2016+) tie the windshield camera into lane-keep, AEB, and adaptive cruise. Anything that disturbs the camera mount or wiring during glass work can throw a fault code — and most of those codes don't trigger an immediate dashboard light, they show up days or weeks later.

Pre-scan proves your car's pre-existing fault state before we touched anything. Post-scan proves we left the car healthy. Both reports are saved with your work order. If a warning light pops up three weeks from now, the documentation tells us — and you — exactly where it came from.

Most local glass shops skip this step. We don't. Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Subaru, and Stellantis all have published position statements requiring pre/post-scans on collision and glass work — we follow them.

How We Quote

Tell Us the Vehicle. Quote in Five Minutes.

Pricing depends on your vehicle's year, make, model, ADAS package, and (for replacement work) what kind of glass it takes. Call (570) 413-9662 or text us a photo of the damage with your year, make, and model and we'll quote you in under five minutes during business hours.

If your comprehensive auto insurance covers the work, your out-of-pocket may be $0 — we'll handle the claim and the carrier directly. No paperwork on your end.

Most local shops won't quote without a phone call and the VIN anyway. We'd rather just answer the phone.

What to Expect

Step by Step. No Mystery.

01
Plug In

OBD-II scan tool connected to the vehicle's diagnostic port (under the driver's dash on most makes).

02
Pre-Scan

All control modules read for stored fault codes. Codes documented and photographed for your file.

03
Glass Work

Replacement, repair, or ADAS calibration completed per OEM procedure.

04
Post-Scan

Second scan after the work. New codes flagged. Cleared codes verified gone. Modules confirmed in 'ready' state.

05
Report

Pre-scan and post-scan reports printed. You get a copy. Carriers get a copy if it's an insurance claim. We keep one for the file.

Questions, Answered

Vehicle Diagnostics FAQ.

Modern vehicles can throw fault codes from removing a windshield-mounted camera connector, disturbing harnesses behind the dash, or running the car off accessory power during install. Pre-scan documents prior state. Post-scan documents that we didn't introduce new faults. Without those records, any future warning light becomes a finger-pointing exercise.
Most 'phantom' lights after windshield work come from skipped ADAS calibration or an unverified post-scan. A documented post-scan is your insurance against a comeback — if a light appears, we have the record showing the car left healthy.
For most 2016+ vehicles with ADAS, yes. Toyota, Honda, Ford, GM, Subaru, and Stellantis have all published position statements requiring pre and post-scans on collision and glass work. We follow those positions to the letter.
Usually yes when combined with an ADAS calibration or replacement claim. The scan is a billable line item that most carriers accept under OEM position statements. We bill the carrier directly.
